Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. The Mundell family of America is one of those
families that falls right in the middle - the American branch has been researched quite a bit, but so very little is known
about our Irish roots. This site is the fruit of everyone's labors, to document all known descendants of James Mundell and
Margaret (Scott) Garrett.
For this database, I started with my own family tree and direct connection to James & Margaret. From there I expanded
into census records, "The Mundell (Mundle) Family" by Ruby Mundell Barry and Audrey Lee Woodruff, published in 1968,
and talking to fellow researchers.
I do not claim that everything on this page is 100% accurate or complete - this is a work in progress that will take a
very, very long time. Please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture.
